stbdance premieres ‘The Child Likes The Word’ on Tuesday March 10th, 2015 at The Secret Theatre.

The Child Likes The Word, is a series of three duets that collide, transition, interrupt, and overlap. The substance of the work is derived from children’s learning games. An original and organic language is developed during the rehearsal process through structured improvisations while playing learning games and developing physical motor patterns. The Child Likes The Word, is interested in how word games and prompts can dictate quirky combinations of jutted, spastic, and unexpected patterns in body parts.
