NonaLee Dance Theatre
The Moving Beauty Series proudly presents:
NonaLee Dance Theatre
Artistic Director. Choreographer.
NonaLee Dance Theatre presents ‘Awake’ in The Series on Wednesday March 3rd, 2015 AND Sunday, March 8th, 2015.
Awake is an exploration of the Kundalini through our 7 chakras. Kundalini; a coiled cosmic energy which lies at the base of the spine. Chakras; powerful energy centers within the body which represent different levels of consciousness. This work digs down deep to find balance and truth within ourselves, each other, and nature.
Awake is comprised of 7 pieces, each representing a chakra. The lower three chakras examining survival, sexuality, and power while the higher three chakras examine communication, intuition, and enlightenment. At the center, the heart chakra bridges them and us all together in the collective consciousness of the world. Each piece flows through the chakras with a dynamic, sensual, and pure migration which strives to inspire and enlighten your inner being.
We are all interconnected and it’s important that we understand the language of the world and find beauty in all. This will be a soul stirring experience.
